Accomplishing the Mission

Fishing for the Heart achieves its mission by hosting both public and private fishing events throughout Wisconsin. These include:

                  •               hands-on fishing lessons,

                  •               open water outings during warm weather,

                  •               ice fishing events in winter, and

                  •               partnerships with community groups.

We work with organizations such as the YMCA, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, and local fishing clubs to broaden their outreach, giving more youth a chance to learn fishing skills and develop positive character traits.

Values & Impact

At the core of the organization is the idea that fishing can be more than a sport, it can be a powerful tool for:

                  •               teaching life skills,

                  •               building confidence and patience,

                  •               strengthening family and community bonds, and

                  •               encouraging stewardship and wonder for the outdoors.  

Our events are designed to be inclusive, supportive, and fun, creating memories that connect participants not just with fishing, but with each other and with a sense of purpose.
