June 24th-Family Fishing Event on Pewaukee Lake

Registration: 7:30am at Smokies Bait Shop by Curly's Waterfront Restaurant

Fishing: 8am until 12:30pm.  All participants will fish out of  a volunteer boat and all safety and fishing equipment will be provided.  This is a beginner fishing trip so the targeted species of fish will most likely be panfish and bass.  Pewaukee is a very good fishing lake but like any fishing experience a lot of the success can be attributed to the weather pattern etc.

Lunch:  We will be serving a grilled lunch at 1pm which will include hotdogs, brats and hamburgers along with a bag of chips, soda and water.  This will be an opportunity to learn more about Fishing for the Heart and share our stories from the morning of fishing.

What to bring:  Please be prepared for the day and check the weather.  Bring appropriate clothing for the day, rain or shine, cold or hot, we live in Wisconsin!  A camera to capture the experience.  Sunglasses, preferably polarized so you can see into the water.  Any snacks or drinks for the boat.  Anyone over 16 years old will need a fishing license and can be purchased on the Wisconsin DNR site.  Bring a positive attitude and enjoy the day!

Cost: Free!! Please take the time to thank your fishing guide for the day.  Fishing for the Heart promotes fishing in schools, churches and community groups.  Our goal is to teach fishing and the benefits it brings to our youth and families free of charge.  We do accept donations directly to our site or at events.  Thanks for fishing!
